This month we’re offering a free MP3 download of “Running Around” that Elliott performed on the legendary New York DJ Vin Scelsa’s Easter Sunday Acoustic Extravaganza show in 1987, not long before he moved to France. Accompanied by his longtime partner Ernie Books on bass and backing vocals, Elliott performs a passionate acoustic version of this song from the then recently released Milwaukee album. Scelsa, who has been a late night New York City radio fixture for decades with his show “Idiot’s Delight,” for many years hosted an Easter Sunday acoustic jam with artists and musicians live in the studio.
